A draft presidential decree “On amending the Regulation on the procedure for traveling abroad of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been published on the portal for discussing draft normative-legal acts.

In accordance with the proposed changes, the address of the place of residence will be indicated in the biometric passport for traveling abroad (international passport) instead of a mark on temporary registration.

Departments of the Internal Affairs Bodies put down a mark on registration at the place of residence in passports instead of a mark on temporary registration.

In addition, it is stipulated that to apply for international passports, citizens will contact the data collection points at their place of permanent residence (registration), or the data collection points for consular registration.

If citizens do not have a permanent residence permit, they can contact the data collection points at the place of their previous registration to obtain an international passport.

In the absence of registration data, citizens can contact the data collection points at the place of their residence to obtain an international passport.

In case of an international passport loss, a citizen should immediately contact the data collection point at the place of his permanent residence (registration), or the data collection point for consular registration. After taking the necessary measures, in accordance with this Regulation, a new biometric passport will be issued to the citizen for traveling abroad.
