Women’s Council may appear within SCO

The Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Muhammadkaliy Abilgaziyev stated today at the SCO Council of Governments Heads meeting in Tashkent that the Kyrgyz side supports the initiative to establish a Women’s Council within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Kun.uz correspondent reported.
“Today we live in a time when the global economy is going through periods of turmoil. Cooperation in the organization is definitely more important than ever. The SCO’s structure and activities are regularly expanding. Therefore, we support the initiative to establish a Women’s Council within the institution,” the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan said.
It should be recalled that earlier the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov called on SCO member states to jointly deal with the consequences of Aral Sea disaster.
