“We believe that construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway will become an important link in the transport network in the future. It is important to involve Afghanistan in construction of the regional highways, using the capabilities of the SCO Afghanistan Contact Group,” the SCO Secretary-General Vladimir Norov said at the SCO CHG meeting in Tashkent.

According to him, the SCO region should play a leading role in the areas of digitalization, telecommunication technologies and new technologies, robotics and artificial intelligence.

“Considering the active growth of e-commerce at the national, regional and global levels, the issue of adopting a program of cooperation in this promising area within the SCO has arisen.

Tourism has become an important factor in socio-economic development. Introduction of smart tourism, online payments and digitization of cultural facilities will provide additional impetus to development of the tourism industry in the SCO space,” Norov said.
