Memorandum of Cooperation signed between Shakhrisabz and Caserta

On September 26-30, the Anor International Agritourism Festival was held in Shakhrisabz, Kashkadarya region. The event began with the signing of a protocol on strengthening cooperation in tourism between the Italian city of Caserta and Shakhrisabz. The document was inked by the khokim of the city of Shakhrisabz Tulkin Karimov and the honorary consul of Uzbekistan in Italy Vittorio Giorgi, tourism committee said.
The main goal of the festival was to provide comprehensive support to citizens engaged in handicrafts and gardening, on this basis to give a new impetus to the development of agritourism in the region.
“This event is only the beginning of our partnership. In the future, cooperation with Caserta in the field of tourism will be strengthened. We also intend to sign agreements with other Italian cities,” said Otabek Olimjonov, head of the Department for Tourism Development in the Kashkadarya region.
Caserta differs from other Italian cities in its architectural monuments and rich culture. Here, the most beautiful Napoleonic palace was erected in the 18th century, which became one of the best palaces in Europe at that time.
It should be noted that a protocol on establishing diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Italy was signed in 1992. During the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation to the Italian city of Caserta this year, an agreement was reached on cooperation and the strengthening of friendly relations with the city municipality.
