Kyrgyz FM Aidarbekov receives outgoing Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rashidov

On September 3, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan Komil Rashidov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in the republic, was received by the country’s Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov, the ministerial press service reported.

During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations, the implementation of agreements reached at the level of heads of state. Special attention was paid to organizing high-level visits, holding regular meetings of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, the Council of Heads of Border Regions, chaired by Prime Ministers of the two countries.

The sides expressed their firm intention to work together in order to further expand and deepen the historical relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan on the basis of friendship, good neighborliness, mutually beneficial cooperation and strategic partnership.

FM Chingiz Aidarbekov thanked Ambassador Komil Rashidov for fruitful work and personal contribution to the development of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, wished him success in his future work. In turn, Ambassador Rashidov expressed appreciation for the joint productive cooperation during his diplomatic service in Kyrgyzstan.
