In Uzbekistan, salaries of public education workers will be increased. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at a video-conference meeting on August 23, Kun.uz correspondent reported.
“We need to understand the truth – we cannot talk about any reform without motivating a schoolteacher financially and without improving his quality of life.
In this regard, the Cabinet of Ministers (Aripov, Abdukhakimov), the Ministry of Finance (Ashrafkhonov) and the Ministry of Public Education (Shermatov) should submit a proposal within two months to raise the salaries of public education employees in 2020.
At the same time, local governments should provide measures to support teachers at schools, located in remote villages, with loans for housing, automobiles, and identify their funding sources,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
