On June 11, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Slovenia with residence in Moscow Branko Rakoves, the press service of the MFA said.
Accepting his credentials, the Minister congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a high and responsible post and wished him fruitful work.
During the conversation that took place, mutual interest was reaffirmed in expanding and strengthening relations in all areas of cooperation.
The sides supported the resumption in May 2019 of the practice of conducting bilateral inter-MFA political consultations, which make it possible to identify promising areas of collaboration and focus on them.
As emphasized at the meeting, one of the priority areas of cooperation is the development of mutually beneficial relations in trade, economic, investment, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties exchanged views on certain issues of international politics as well.
