American cadets attended the conference held at the Academy of Armed Forces and also visited the ICT and Liaison Military Institute and Chirchik High Tank Command-Engineering School under the Defense Ministry.

They familiarized themselves with the educational process and the facilities created for their Uzbek peers. These events, above all, served as a platform for exchange of views, open and friendly talks between the two countries’ youth.

Since the purpose of the visit was not just the communication of young people of the two countries to exchange experiences, but also the creation of an informal atmosphere, the Military Institute organized conditions for joint preparation by our cadets and their American peers of the national Uzbek dish – pilaf.

“Frankly speaking, I have great impressions. First of all, I was impressed by the high level of knowledge of the cadets, as well as their friendliness. A thousand-year history of your state, a rich cultural heritage, aroused great interest. The dish of local cuisine was very interesting to cook, it turned out delicious,” said Julissa Rojas of Florida University.

Guests from the US armed forces will stay in our country for three weeks, exchange experiences with the Uzbek cadets in mastering military knowledge, learn more about the thousand-year history and traditions of Uzbekistan through cultural events, and also take part in theoretical and practical exercises.

Foreign guests already had the opportunity to observe practical exercises at the training ground of Uzbekistan cadets, and shared their points of view on the results of the observation.
