In Tashkent, at school #110, an extended meeting of the secondary public school principals was held under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Public Education Alisher Umarov. During the event, current activities of the capital’s schools, works carried out on increasing the quality of education, quality of staffing and other issues were analyzed.
According to the press service of the Ministry, incomplete use of created opportunities, shortcomings in the organization of educational process at schools were highlighted.
In addition, the results of the study of legal-control service under the Minister on activities of the Uchtepa district department of public education and secondary public schools were also discussed. Principals of the schools #4, #14, #295 and #109 in the Uchtepa district were dismissed from the positions for shortcomings in their activities and failing to perform their duties.
Also, the head of the Uchtepa district department of public education resigned from the office for lack of initiative and adequate control over the activities of schools, neglecting his job responsibilities.
At the same time, it was emphasized that the Tashkent city Main Department of Public Education and district departments should intensify the work reviewed at the meeting and increase the personal responsibilities of the heads on the ongoing reforms.
In future, the Ministry of Public Education plans to hold similar extended meetings in the Shaykhantakhur and Sergeli districts, the report said.
