Traffic policemen do not have the right to install radars on other cars, as well as to attract unauthorized persons to serve, the Telegram-channel “Legal information” reports.
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On the procedure for regulating the traffic police relations with road users and the use of special devices”, the traffic police is strictly prohibited to install radars, intended for use in patrol cars, on vehicles of others not related to the service, as well as to involve outsiders in the process.
In practice, it is sometimes possible to meet traffic officers who use their own or other people's vehicles for “hunting” with a radar. In addition, sometimes “linked” traffic officers go around who agree on the amount of a special fine, that is, on the amount of a bribe. Since the traffic police are insured, the mediators agree on the amount of the “fine” and are engaged in the transfer of bribes.
