Investments and Foreign Trade Minister of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the President of EBRD Suma Chakrabarti within the framework of the organization’s annual meeting and business forum, the press service of the Ministry reported.

Suma Chakrabarti, welcoming the Minister, noted the significant progress in relations with Uzbekistan, achieved over the past two years, largely due to fundamental reforms and innovations in the country’s economic model, initiated by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the meeting, current issues of cooperation, prospects for expanding the project portfolio and priority areas for further interaction were considered.

Also, issues related to the organization and holding of a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council in June this year, as well as the possible participation of the bank’s leadership in Tashkent International Investment Forum this year were discussed.
