On the collective reference portal “My opinion”, a petition on the establishment of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan was announced.

Reportedly, in order to achieve mutual co-operation in the sphere of art, all the arts universities should be combined into one educational institution. The abundance of universities in the direction of theater, music, painting and the lack of co-operation between them has a negative impact on the level and future of art in Uzbekistan.

“On the other hand, every year graduates of such higher education institutions face a problem of finding a job in their field. The association of institutes will have a positive effect on the quality of specialists. It will contribute to the creation of immortal and unique artworks, introduction of single centralized management in the arts education. At the same time, it will serve to create the arts school of creators who have their place in the world” the petitioner writes.

In the petition, it is proposed to combine the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture, the National Institute of Arts and Design as well as the Higher Choreography School, and establish the State Academy of Arts on the basis of them.
