On April 23, 2019, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India Vinod Kumar, completing his diplomatic mission in our country.
According to the press service of the MFA, an exchange of views on the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for development of Uzbek-Indian cooperation took place.
The sides noted with satisfaction the high level of bilateral contacts, which are based on mutual trust and regular dialogue between the leaders of the two countries.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have met twice in the past six months to discuss key issues aimed at building relationships in all areas of mutual interest.
The meeting also addressed selected issues of international and regional policy.
At the end of the conversation, the Minister highly appreciated the Ambassador’s personal contribution to the ongoing development of a multilateral partnership between Uzbekistan and India.
The ambassador, in turn, thanked for the full assistance in his work as head of the diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
