President grants tax benefits to electricity meter device manufacturers

Domestic manufacturers of electricity metering devices are announced exempt from paying VAT. The corresponding resolution was adopted by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on February 13.
According to the document, until January 1, 2022, manufacturers are exempt from value added tax when selling meters and related equipment.
They were also exempt from paying customs duties for the import of components, raw materials and materials used for the production of metering devices and related equipment supplied under contracts concluded with Uzbekenergo JSC.
