A number of governmental agencies and organizations transferred to the Ministry of Transport

In Uzbekistan, several governmental agencies and organizations are transferred to the Ministry of Transport.
This is stated in a presidential decree āOn measures to fundamentally improve the system of public administration in the field of transportā.
According to the decree, it was entrusted to transfer to the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Transport (maintaining the current procedure for financing activities):
- The State Committee for Motorways ā it is renamed as the Committee for Motorways under the Ministry of Transport;
- The State Flight Safety Inspectorate ā it is transformed into the Agency for Civil Aviation under the Ministry of Transport;
- The State Inspectorate for Safety Supervision of Railway Transport ā it is renamed as the Inspectorate for Safety Supervision of Railway Transport under the Ministry of Transport;
- The State Inspectorate for Controlling the Quality of Road Construction Works under the Cabinet of Ministers ā it is renamed as the Inspectorate for Controlling the Quality of Road Construction Works under the Ministry of Transport;
- Uzbek Navigation Register of the Ministry of Emergency Situations;
- Center āUzaeronavigationā under the Cabinet of Ministers;
- research institutes, educational institutions and other organizations according to the relevant list.
The document also states that the Department for Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of Tashkent city will be abolished.
In addition, in accordance with the decree, the Cabinet of Ministers was tasked within three months to develop the Concept for transport development in the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2025 and a āRoadmapā for its implementation, providing for measures to improve the country's position in international rankings on logistics efficiency.
