Nodir Otajonov resigns as a Deputy PM, becomes Deputy Adviser to the President 

Deputy Prime Minister Nodir Otajonov has been relieved of his post due to being transferred to another job, Kun.uz correspondent reports with reference to the presidential decree.

He also resigned as a head of the complex for development of engineering, automotive, electrical, defense, cotton processing and light industry, product standardization.

It should be noted that earlier today he was appointed deputy adviser to the president of Uzbekistan on the development of economic sectors, implementation of investment and foreign trade policies.

Otajonov took the post of deputy PM in August 2017. Previously, he headed the leasing company “Uzagrolizing” and the company “Uzagrotekhsanoatholding”. In 1993-2007, he worked at the Ministry of Finance.
