Farkhod Ermanov is appointed khokim of Khorezm region

On November 30, 2018, an extraordinary session of the Khorezm regional Kengash of people’s deputies was held, the presidential press service reported.

The session considered organizational issues.

In compliance with the presidential order, Farkhod Ermanov, who had been serving as the acting khokim of the region, was appointed khokim of Khorezm.

F. Ermanov was born in 1958. Previously, he served as Minister of Agriculture and Water Management of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and hokim of the Beruni district. For the last seven months, he acted as the hokim of Khorezm region.

The candidacy of Farhod Ermanov was also supported during the consultations held by the party groups in the regional Kengash of people's deputies.

Earlier, new leaders were appointed to the positions of the first deputy khokim, prosecutor, heads of the department of internal affairs and the tax administration of the Khorezm region.

The President noted that the leadership of the region should work as one with the people of Khorezm, ensure the complete fulfillment of the tasks set, develop the economy and improve the lives of the people.
