Over 8 billion UZS worth of uncertified medicines intercepted in Fergana

During the operation, a Nexia-3 vehicle driven by a resident of Fergana city was stopped and inspected in the Bogdod district. Authorities discovered 413 units of uncertified medicines comprising 8 different types in the car.

Further inspections of two warehouses in the Bogdod district, both owned by the same individual, revealed 100,332 units of 60 types of medicines stored without quality certificates. These items were officially documented and seized as part of the investigation.

The operation continued at another warehouse in Fergana city, where 16,897 units of 39 types of uncertified pharmaceuticals were also confiscated as physical evidence.

In total, 117,642 units of uncertified medicines, valued at 8.001 billion UZS, were seized during the raid and temporarily placed under custody.

The investigation expanded to the city of Margilan, where three concealed warehouses linked to another individual were uncovered. These facilities were found to contain 30,000 units of medical supplies – including catheter needles, tourniquets, electronic thermometers, and blood pressure monitors – illegally brought in from Kyrgyzstan via unauthorized routes. The estimated value of the items was 400 million UZS, and they were formally documented and seized.

Pre-investigation checks are currently underway regarding all identified violations.
