According to the ministry, during the initial days of March, a sharp drop in air temperature in Uzbekistan led to an increase in natural gas consumption and a decrease in gas pipeline pressure. Given this situation, priority was given to supplying natural gas to households and social sector facilities, while the operation of compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling stations was temporarily suspended.
"As a result of urgent measures taken in recent days, gas pipeline pressure has been stabilized. This has made it possible to restore the operation of methane refueling stations," the statement said.
It was emphasized that, starting from 9:00 AM on March 6, methane refueling stations will gradually resume operations.
The ministry apologized to consumers for the inconvenience caused.
Earlier, from February 9 to 12, the supply of gas to methane refueling stations across all regions of Uzbekistan was also temporarily reduced. The Energy Inspection had attributed this reduction to a "sharp drop in air temperature."
