Uzbekistan has signed several agreements to supply food products to Middle Eastern countries, the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade (MIIT) reported.
Negotiations took place on the sidelines of the Gulfood 2025 international exhibition, held in the UAE from February 17 to 21. At the Made in Uzbekistan booth, over 40 companies showcased a variety of products, including fresh and dried fruits, nuts, vegetables, juices, mineral water, and other goods.
During the exhibition, Uzbek representatives held meetings with more than 20 distributors, retailers, and trade agents, including major companies such as Al Maya Group, Carrefour, Choithrams, Lulu, Americana Foods, Family Brands, Lootah Premium Foods, and Safco.
An agreement was reached with the Noon marketplace to list Uzbek products and utilize bonded warehouses. The export process will be organized under Noon’s private labels in both B2B and B2C formats.
Additionally, the Uzbek delegation secured agreements with the management of major retailers Al Maya and Lulu to establish dedicated shelves for Uzbek products in their stores.
The head of MIIT’s foreign trade department, Inomjon Abdurakhmanov, met with representatives of Dubai Integrated Economic Zones, Fujairah, and KEZAD Group, the UAE’s largest free economic zones. The discussions focused on opening distribution centers, processing Uzbek goods, and expanding supplies to the Middle East and Africa.
