Experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies analyzed the price changes of 21 food products in large supermarkets in Tashkent in February 2025.

The monitoring results showed that the minimum prices of 6 products had decreased compared to the previous month.

Specifically, the minimum price of potatoes dropped by 26.1%, red carrots by 11.3%, onions by 8.2%, eggs by 7.8%, milk by 0.9%, and sugar by 0.4%. After a price surge in potatoes last month, imports from Pakistan helped reduce their prices.

For 8 products, the minimum prices increased, with the most significant rise seen in white cabbage, which is related to seasonal factors.

Cucumber prices also rose significantly, although they remain 30.0% cheaper than the same period last year.

The prices of 7 products remained unchanged, including wheat flour, rice, buckwheat, pasta, apples, bananas, and chicken fillet.

The analysis was based on monitoring data collected from January 9 to February 6, 2025.
