Specifically, the goals for this year include employing 5.2 million people, lifting 1.5 million out of poverty, attracting $42 billion in foreign investments, and increasing exports to over $30 billion.
The meeting provided updates on the progress and initial results in these areas.
In January, 277,000 citizens found employment, of which 91,000 secured permanent jobs and 153,000 were engaged in entrepreneurial activities.
To reduce poverty, a new approach is being implemented across 32 areas. Recently, groups of specialists from ministries and local governments visited China to exchange experiences. These visits will help explain local opportunities to the public and assist them in generating income.
Employment and investment are closely linked. This year, nearly $14 billion will be invested in 8,000 projects, creating 272,000 permanent jobs.
Preliminary data shows that $3 billion in foreign investments were attracted to the country last month. The same amount is expected in February, with 623 projects slated for launch.
The meeting emphasized the importance of focusing on these projects and accelerating progress.
Since the start of the year, export volumes have already reached $1.3 billion. Officials were tasked with working alongside foreign partners to assist entrepreneurs in entering foreign markets and attracting new enterprises to expand exports.
