According to the Statistics Agency's report on industrial production for 2024, gas extraction totaled 44.59 billion cubic meters, marking a reduction of 2.1 billion cubic meters, or 4.5%, compared to the same period in 2023.

The gas extraction statistics for January to December 2024 are detailed below:

January: 3.99 billion cubic meters (down from 4.31 billion cubic meters in 2023)

February: 3.71 billion cubic meters (down from 3.85 billion cubic meters)

March: 3.89 billion cubic meters (down from 4.16 billion cubic meters)

April: 3.7 billion cubic meters (down from 3.94 billion cubic meters)

May: 3.52 billion cubic meters (down from 3.6 billion cubic meters)

June: 3.54 billion cubic meters (down from 3.7 billion cubic meters)

July: 3.78 billion cubic meters (down from 3.9 billion cubic meters)

August: 3.78 billion cubic meters (down from 3.9 billion cubic meters)

September: 3.55 billion cubic meters (down from 3.7 billion cubic meters)

October: 3.6 billion cubic meters (down from 3.78 billion cubic meters)

November: 3.67 billion cubic meters (down from 3.79 billion cubic meters)

December: 3.8 billion cubic meters (down from 3.92 billion cubic meters)

For context, gas extraction in 2022 decreased from 53.8 billion to 51.67 billion cubic meters (a 4% decline), and in 2023, it further fell from 51.67 billion to 46.71 billion cubic meters, marking a decrease of 9.6%.

The trend in natural gas extraction from 2018 to 2024 is as follows:

2018: 61.59 billion cubic meters
2019: 60.71 billion cubic meters
2020: 49.77 billion cubic meters
2021: 53.8 billion cubic meters
2022: 51.67 billion cubic meters
2023: 46.71 billion cubic meters
2024: 44.59 billion cubic meters

Over the past seven years, gas extraction has decreased by nearly 28% (or 17 billion cubic meters).

In 2024, coal extraction increased by 26.2%, reaching 7.166 million tons, compared to 2023.

Other key findings:

- Oil extraction dropped from 779,000 tons to 713,000 tons (a decrease of 8.5%);

- Gas condensate production rose from 1.198 million tons to 1.214 million tons;

- Electricity production increased by 4.6% from 77.67 billion kWh in 2023 to 81.28 billion kWh in 2024. However, electricity production from large enterprises decreased by 8%;

- Diesel fuel production decreased from 1.012 million tons to 949,000 tons, and gasoline production dropped from 1.333 million tons to 1.282 million tons;

- In 2024, Uzbekistan produced 399,327 cars, which is 3,603 more than in 2023.
