418 criminals detained in Uzbekistan during 4-day nationwide operation

The State Security Service (SSS) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) led a nationwide "Anti-Terrorism Clean-up" operation from January 27 to 31, carrying out 946 special actions to stabilize the criminogenic situation and identify individuals and criminal groups harming the country.

Details have been released about the nationwide "Anti-Terrorism Clean-up" operation, in which 418 individuals, identified as likely to commit serious and particularly severe crimes and to have a detrimental impact on the criminogenic situation in the country, were apprehended, and criminal cases were opened against them.

As a result of these investigations, 169 individuals were detained, and the activities of 42 criminal groups were dismantled. 399 individuals faced administrative penalties, with 270 placed under administrative detention. 109 individuals who were on the wanted list were arrested.

Preventive interviews were conducted with 536 individuals, and 402 individuals were officially warned.

Additionally, during the operation, authorities seized 80 firearms and ammunition, 30 kg 337 grams of narcotics, 4,521 units of powerful psychoactive drugs, 186 knives, 22 switchblades, and 17 brass knuckles from illegal circulation.

Efforts to stabilize the criminogenic situation will continue in other areas as well.
