Brand Analytics, which monitors social media and media coverage across the CIS countries, conducted an analysis of Uzbekistan's electronic information space.
According to the analysts, the most important factor shaping the information landscape is the mass media. Kun.uz, in particular, stands out for its dominant position in the number of citations on social networks.
In October 2024, users of popular social networks and messaging platforms cited Kun.uz articles a total of 54,334 times. This figure is 3.5 times higher than the next publication, UzA, which received 15,628 citations.
During the same period, internet users cited Daryo.uz 13,182 times and Gazeta.uz 9,462 times.
It is also noteworthy that in December 2024, Kun.uz’s official YouTube channel became the first Uzbek-language channel to surpass 3 million subscribers.
By the beginning of 2025, Kun.uz's Instagram account had exceeded 6 million followers.
