Two arrested for smuggling gasoline through underground pipeline from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan

Two Uzbek nationals have been detained for illegally transporting A-92 grade gasoline from Kazakhstan's Turkestan region to Uzbekistan's Qibray district in Tashkent region via an underground pipeline. A criminal case has been opened against them, and Kazakh authorities have been alerted about their accomplice in Kazakhstan.

UzA reported that law enforcement agencies conducted an operation that led to the arrest of those involved in the illegal gasoline transportation through the pipeline running underground from Kazakhstan to Qibray.

It was revealed that M.M. (born 1986) and Kh.Kh. (born 1997), both residents of Qibray district, Tashkent region, had conspired with A.K., a Kazakh citizen. Together, they were involved in illegally transporting and selling A-92 gasoline from Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan.

The operation involved placing a hose inside a 300-meter-long underground pipeline running from Saryagash district in Kazakhstan’s Turkestan region to Qibray district in Uzbekistan.

Currently, a criminal case has been opened against the suspects, and investigative actions are ongoing. Kazakhstan’s authorities have been informed about A.K.'s involvement, and measures are being taken against him.
