Uzbekistan and UAE strengthen strategic partnership: High-level talks and prospective collaborations
On January 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held negotiations with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in Dubai.

The discussions highlighted the fruitful outcomes of high-level talks and marked the elevation of Uzbekistan-UAE relations to a strategic partnership. Both parties emphasized their enthusiasm for the active dialogue and effective cooperation in areas such as improving public administration efficiency and training managerial personnel.
Key agreements were reached to develop and implement new projects in advanced technologies, digitalization, infrastructure development, and other promising sectors. Uzbekistan expressed a keen interest in close collaboration with UAE partners in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), including joint programs for training specialists in this area.
Special attention was given to introducing Dubaiās advanced urban planning solutions in Uzbekistan. This includes integrating modern infrastructure within the framework of the New Tashkent project, leveraging Dubai's cutting-edge approaches.
The talks also underscored the importance of increasing bilateral trade and investment volumes. Collaborative projects in housing, transport infrastructure, energy, mining, urban development, and digitalization were identified as priorities.
Additionally, during his visit to Abu Dhabi, President Mirziyoyev met with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE. Discussions focused on further expanding multi-faceted cooperation and practical partnerships in key areas. Both sides expressed their commitment to fully implementing the agreements reached with leading UAE companies and holdings.
The outcomes of these historic high-level talks were acknowledged as pivotal in strengthening Uzbekistan-UAE ties. Both nations reaffirmed their intention to maintain active dialogue and advance cooperation across all sectors.
These negotiations not only solidified the strategic partnership but also set the stage for the realization of projects that harness the UAE's experience and expertise, particularly in modern infrastructure and AI, to drive Uzbekistanās development agenda forward.
