Belarus appoints new ambassador to Uzbekistan
Alexander Ogorodnikov has been appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Uzbekistan.

The appointment was made by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, who emphasized the vast opportunities for engagement and collaboration opening up in Uzbekistan.
Ogorodnikov succeeds Leonid Marinich, who had held the ambassadorial position since 2018.
Previously, Alexander Ogorodnikov served as the Deputy Minister of Industry of Belarus.
