Uzbekistan seeks closer cooperation with new U.S. administration
Uzbekistan plans to deepen its strategic partnership with the United States in 2025 by engaging with the new U.S. administration and advancing bilateral ties across various sectors. According to the draft State Program for 2025, the initiative includes high-level visits, expanded dialogue, and enhanced collaboration in security, trade, and education.

Key goals include organizing a high-level visit between the two nations and hosting the first round of an expanded strategic partnership dialogue in Tashkent. This effort aims to strengthen ties with the incoming U.S. administration and reinforce Uzbekistan's strategic importance in Central Asia.
Uzbekistan intends to intensify cooperation under the "C5+1" regional framework, which involves the five Central Asian countries and the U.S. The plans include ministerial meetings, working group sessions, and preparing for a 10th-anniversary summit in Samarkand.
Uzbekistan is also set to expand parliamentary cooperation by hosting leading U.S. Congress members and boosting trade and investment ties through business forums, exhibitions, and targeted investor outreach. Security collaboration will remain a key focus, with efforts to maintain Uzbekistan's high standing in U.S. human rights reports.
Additionally, the program highlights plans for increased cooperation in education, science, healthcare, and environmental protection. Joint initiatives include university partnerships, English language teaching programs, and ecological projects.
