Bukhara driver's $11,000 fine halved after discount for timely payment
A driver in Bukhara, who committed 106 traffic violations using fake license plates, has paid only half of his 138 million UZS (approximately $11,000) in fines, thanks to a 50% discount.

The individual, a resident of the Bukhara region, was discovered driving with forged license plates over an extended period. Traffic officers eventually stopped the vehicle, and the driver confidently claimed he would retrieve his car from impound within an hour. However, the car remained in the impound lot for 94 days until all fines were settled.
During this period, authorities uncovered all the driver's violations and issued administrative protocols. In addition to the fines for traffic violations, the driver was penalized 10 base calculation values (3.75 million UZS) under Article 125, Part 6, of the Administrative Responsibility Code for using fake license plates.
The fines were settled under a legal provision allowing a 50% discount for timely payments. This provision enabled the driver to pay only 69 million UZS (approximately $5,500) instead of the full amount.
