Sherzod Kudbiyev, Chairman of the State Tax Committee, noted that such a collaboration would enhance the capacity of the tax authorities of both countries. Daniil Egorov, Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service, emphasized that feedback on training should play a significant role in bilateral cooperation.
Discussions also covered issues related to the digital marking of goods, and key areas of work for 2025 were identified.
"Participants of the meeting stressed the importance of creating additional conveniences for taxpayers involved in the circulation of marked products. The priority remains the improvement of the goods traceability system, which will enhance market transparency and control efficiency," the statement said.
The delegation from the State Tax Committee visited the Robotics Center, where they were introduced to advanced technologies for automating warehouse processes, aimed at optimizing logistics operations and minimizing costs.
The press service of the Russian Federal Tax Service reported that during the meeting, a decision was made to transition tax-related request exchanges to an electronic format, with the corresponding document signed by both parties.
In addition, the Uzbek delegation familiarized itself with the Russian Federal Tax Service's practices regarding banking secrecy for tax purposes in the context of international standards for information exchange.
In September, Uzbekistan and Russia agreed to exchange digital marking codes used for pharmaceuticals. The State Tax Committee and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation signed an agreement on information exchange to establish a legal framework for the mutual recognition of markings.
