Five citizens of Uzbekistan killed in a traffic accident in Russia
On the morning of December 17, a tragic road accident involving citizens of Uzbekistan occurred on a federal highway in the Ulyanovsk region of Russia, resulting in the deaths of five Uzbek nationals.

The incident took place at the 209th kilometer of the federal highway when a Chevrolet Cobalt carrying Uzbek passengers collided with a MAZ truck. According to preliminary reports, the driver of the Cobalt lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer into the opposite lane and crash into the oncoming truck. The impact left the Cobalt severely damaged, and all five individuals inside the vehicle died on the spot.
The truck driver sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Uzbekistan’s Consulate General in Kazan has confirmed the identities and nationality of the victims and is working to arrange the repatriation of their bodies to Uzbekistan. The consulate also noted that the deceased individuals were between the ages of 20 and 49.
