During the meeting, King Willem-Alexander extended warm greetings and best wishes to Uzbekistan’s President, Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The monarch expressed satisfaction with the dynamic nature of Uzbekistan-Netherlands relations, highlighting the progress in political dialogue and collaboration in trade, economics, and investment.
Both sides explored ways to further deepen cooperation in several key areas, leveraging the Netherlands’ extensive expertise. Discussions focused on expanding trade and economic ties, particularly in agriculture, water resource management, advanced technologies, and innovation.
This marks another significant step in Uzbekistan's diplomatic engagement with European nations. Ambassador Fazilov previously presented his credentials to Charles Michel, President of the European Council, on November 14, and to King Philippe of Belgium on February 7, 2024.
