Uzbekistan announces extended weekend for Constitution Day
In celebration of Constitution Day, Uzbekistanis will have a long weekend this December, with three consecutive days off.

A decree signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev specifies the additional non-working days for the 2024 public holiday season. As Constitution Day falls on Sunday, December 8, the official day off will be moved to Monday, December 9, to ensure a longer break for citizens.
According to the new schedule:
• December 7, Saturday will be a day off for employees working a five-day week.
• December 8, Sunday will mark Constitution Day.
• December 9, Monday will also be a day off for all citizens.
Those working six days a week will have only two non-business days – Sunday, December 8, and Monday, December 9.
