Fergana customs officers prevent illegal import of 40 iPhones worth 750 million UZS
Customs authorities in Fergana have thwarted an attempt to illegally import high-value smartphones into the country. The incident involved the seizure of 30 iPhone 16 Pro Max devices and 10 iPhone 15 Pro phones, valued at a total of 750 million UZS.

According to the Fergana Regional Customs Department, the operation was carried out as part of ongoing efforts to combat smuggling. Surveillance was established in the border area of Fergana District, where officials monitored a citizen traveling in a Cobalt vehicle. The vehicle was later intercepted and inspected in the city of Fergana.
During the inspection, customs officers discovered the smartphones inside the vehicle. The individual in question failed to provide documentation proving customs clearance for the items.
The seized devices, intended for illegal import, are estimated to have a market value of 750 million UZS. Authorities have launched a preliminary investigation into the incident.
