According to the data cited by 24.kg, the population increased by 91,700 individuals — or 1.3% — since the beginning of the year, bringing the total to 7,254,000 as of October.
From January to September 2024, civil registry offices recorded 107,900 births and 24,200 deaths, resulting in a natural population growth of 83,700 people. The highest population growth was observed in the regions of Batken, Osh, and Jalal-Abad, while Bishkek and Issyk-Kul reported the lowest figures.
The report comes in the context of regional population trends. Kazakhstan reported a population of 20,118,478 as of May 1, 2024, while Uzbekistan’s permanent population reached 37,134,200 by July 1, 2024, with an average daily increase of 1,800 people.
