Under the new tariffs, residents will pay 121,617 UZS per gigacalorie (Gcal) of heating without VAT. Budgetary organizations, such as government-funded institutions, will see their rates increase to 801,963 UZS/Gcal, while other wholesale entities will pay 244,497 UZS/Gcal, all excluding VAT.

The hike received preliminary approval from the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies on September 12, following considerations of the city’s economic demands and the need for sustainable energy pricing.

This marks the second 15% increase for residential heating services this year, following a similar adjustment made in the spring that set the previous rate for households at 105,754 UZS/Gcal. Officials cited the need to manage rising operational costs as the primary factor behind the recent price adjustments.
