Namangan regional governor Shavkat Abdurazzakov recently met with Lim Sang Hwa, the head of Ecofarm Global Co., to discuss two major projects to be implemented in the region.

The first project involves constructing a modern caravanserai, shopping center, restaurant, recreational area, and parking facility along the Namangan-Tashkent route. The complex will be located on a 7-hectare site in the Chust district, near the A-373 Fergana Ring Road. The $5 million project is funded by direct foreign investments and is expected to serve 100,000 passengers annually, creating 50 new jobs. The facility is scheduled to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The second project is the construction of the logistics center and railway terminal, which will be situated on a 10-hectare site within the Namangan Free Economic Zone. This $50 million initiative will include cold storage warehouses with a capacity of 100,000 tons of goods per year and will create 100 new jobs. The first phase of the project is set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2025, with the second phase following in the fourth quarter of 2026.
