The proposed factory, with an estimated investment of $100 million from the Russian side, aims to commence operations by autumn 2025. This facility is expected to create over 200 jobs for the local workforce, contributing to the economic development of the region.

With an annual production capacity of 1.5 billion cans, the factory will enhance market activities across Central Asia and the Caucasus. Alexander Isaev, General Director of Arnest Packaging Solutions, stated that the establishment of this plant would also enable the redirection of packaging currently produced in Russia towards the domestic market.

“This will introduce a new technology for beverage aluminum packaging that has not been previously available in Uzbekistan,” said Khurram Teshabaev, Deputy Head of MIPT. He also highlighted that more than 30% of the production is planned for export, indicating a strong commitment to international markets.

The Uzbek government is poised to support this initiative by providing tax incentives and subsidies, as well as a well-developed infrastructure. Teshabaev noted that the foreign investor would receive a production facility tailored to meet the project’s requirements.

This project marks a significant step forward in enhancing Uzbekistan's manufacturing capabilities and expanding its role in the regional market for aluminum packaging.
