Komil Allamjonov steps down as head of the Presidential Administration's Information Policy Department
Komil Allamjonov has been relieved of his duties as head of the Information Policy Department at the Presidential Administration, according to an official announcement. The press service of the president confirmed that Allamjonov is transitioning to another role, though details of his new position have not been disclosed.

In an official statement, the press service praised Allamjonov's significant contributions to the development of freedom of speech in Uzbekistan, enhancing transparency in government institutions, and improving the public education system under the directives of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The press service spokesperson, Sherzod Asadov, commended Allamjonov for his professional achievements, noting his success in implementing the President’s key priorities.
Born in 1984 in Tashkent, Komil Allamjonov holds degrees from the Uzbek State Institute of Arts and Culture (2006) and the Tashkent State University of Economics (2010). His early career included work with the State Tax Committee from 2005 to 2013.
Allamjonov has held various prominent positions in the government. He was appointed head of the President’s press service in December 2017 and later led the Uzbekistan Press and Information Agency in November 2018, which was restructured into the Agency for Information and Mass Communications under the Presidential Administration in February 2019.
In January 2020, he became chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mass Media Support Fund, and in July 2022, he was appointed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration. Allamjonov had served as head of the Information Policy Department since August 2023.
