The meeting, held in Tashkent, was also attended by Amira Fahmi, Egypt’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and Sukhrob Yunusov, Deputy Head of "Uztekstilprom." The discussions focused on enhancing trade, investment, and industrial collaboration. Both sides explored opportunities for joint projects to boost mutual export potential.

A key agenda item was the establishment of the Uzbekistan-Egypt Chamber of Commerce, which is expected to serve as a vital tool in promoting and facilitating business partnerships between the two countries. This new entity will help streamline commercial activities and provide a platform for business leaders to connect.

Earlier in June, the Uzbekistan CCI signed an agreement with Egypt's Al-Nasr Export-Import company. The agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of market information and establish trade houses in Egypt for Uzbek products. As part of the broader collaboration, a distribution and industrial cooperation center is planned to open in Port Said. The center will serve as a hub for exporting goods from Uzbekistan to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Additionally, during the summer of 2023, the Uzbekistan CCI and the Egyptian Businessmen's Association agreed to form a business council to promote bilateral trade and investment. Port Said authorities have expressed their readiness to create favorable conditions for Uzbek companies operating in the region.
