Uzbekistan’s agricultural exports surged by 21% in Jan-Aug 2024

In the first eight months of this year, Uzbekistan’s export of vegetables and fruits increased by 20.8%, according to the Foreign Trade Report from the Statistics Agency.
The total value of agricultural exports reached $922.8 million. The main buyers were Russia ($407 million), Pakistan ($140.3 million), and Kazakhstan ($135 million).
Over the past year, cabbage exports doubled, reaching $42.7 million. The supply of cherries grew by 36.5%, amounting to $75 million, while apricot exports rose by 53% to $62.3 million.
However, Uzbekistan's exports of peppers decreased by 21.7% to $5.7 million, and cucumber exports dropped by 26.2% to $3.8 million.
