“I am convinced that the Republic of Uzbekistan’s full membership in the Council will give it greater weight, and the significant experience of the anti-corruption work led by your agency will be in demand in the practical activities of all members of the organization,” Krasnov said on September 19 during a meeting with Akmal Burkhanov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Anti-Corruption Agency.
Russia’s Prosecutor General proposed that Akmal Burkhanov consider signing a cooperation agreement, which would enhance the effectiveness of joint efforts in combating corruption.
For the first time, a delegation from Uzbekistan participated in the meeting of the Interstate Anti-Corruption Council as an observer.
The IACC currently includes representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan.
