Uzbekistan and Türkiye discuss expanding strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the sides discussed current issues related to the dynamically developing Uzbek-Turkish relations, the progress of joint programs, and prospects for enhancing political dialogue, trade and investment ties, as well as cultural, humanitarian, and tourism exchanges.

On the same day, a new round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Türkiye took place under the chairmanship of the deputy ministers of both countries, with the participation of representatives from relevant ministries and agencies.

Special attention was given to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the 3rd meeting of the High-Level Strategic Partnership Council, held in Ankara in June 2024 under the chairmanship of the presidents of the two countries.

The importance of further expanding the legal framework of relations, considering the growing cooperation in all areas, was highlighted.

Additionally, the discussions addressed the strengthening of cooperation within multilateral structures, particularly the United Nations and the Organization of Turkic States.
