Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan are planning to launch ferry production in cooperation, Trend.az reports.
It is noted that ferries are provided for the needs of Uzbekistan. The amount of financing of the project is 150 million USD.
It was noted that a number of specific measures are being developed to expand bilateral cooperation in the field of transport and transit. In particular, it is all about the joint construction of warehouse infrastructure, the creation of a joint enterprise for the development of cargo transportation along the Trans-Caspian route, and other projects.
On August 22, Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan business forum was held in Tashkent. As a result of the negotiations, a portfolio of projects worth 2 billion USD was formed.
In addition, on August 23, within the framework of President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Tashkent, a meeting of state leaders with representatives of business circles of the two countries was held. According to the results of the meeting, 7 projects with a total value of 520 million USD were prepared for launch.
