The review of applications submitted by applicants registered online through the electronic system magistr.edu.uz for admission to the master's programs at state higher education institutions for the 2024/2025 academic year has been completed, according to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
Applications for master's programs in Uzbekistan were accepted from July 1 to 30, 2024, through the magistr.edu.uz system. An additional period was provided for rejected applications from August 6 to 8.
According to the new regulations, no entrance exam was held for admission to the master's programs for the 2024/2025 academic year. Applicants were accepted based on the scores of their existing diplomas and foreign language certificates. The diploma score was considered first, followed by the foreign language certificate.
For this academic year, 17,500 seats were allocated for master's programs in state universities. Of these, 9,365 were allocated as state grants, with 8,092 seats for Uzbek-language programs and 1,273 for Russian-language programs.
A total of 8,135 tuition fee-based quotas were approved, with 6,539 seats for Uzbek-language programs and 1,596 for Russian-language programs.
