Uzbekistan to open polling stations in 39 countries for upcoming parliamentary elections

At a meeting held today, the Central Election Commission (CEC) reviewed the issue of setting up polling stations at Uzbekistan’s diplomatic and other missions abroad.

Based on a proposal sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through the E-saylov information system, the CEC has made a decision to establish polling stations at Uzbekistan’s diplomatic and other missions abroad.

In total, 56 polling stations will be set up at Uzbekistan’s diplomatic and other missions in 39 foreign countries.

Specifically, one polling station will be established in each of 29 countries (Austria, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Belarus, Belgium, Britain, Hungary, Egypt, Israel, India, Indonesia, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kuwait, Latvia, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Singapore, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Sweden, and Japan), two in seven countries (Germany, Kyrgyzstan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, USA, Turkey, South Korea), three in Kazakhstan and China, and seven polling stations in Russia.

Additionally, the polling stations at Uzbekistan’s diplomatic and other missions abroad will be administratively connected to the city of Tashkent.
