Paris 2024: Central Asian nations unite as fans celebrate each other's victories
Videos widely circulated on social media show representatives of Central Asian nations supporting each other during every performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, rejoicing in each other's victories.

Specifically, during Bahodir Jalolov's final match against the Spanish boxer on Saturday evening, not only were Uzbek fans present in the Paris arena, but supporters from neighboring countries—Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan—also cheered for the Uzbek athlete, who has now become a two-time Olympic champion. This further strengthens the unity among neighboring countries.
This was also noted by the president's press secretary, Sherzod Asadov.
"During the boxing finals at the Paris Olympics, our compatriots who cheered for Bahodir Jalolov not only held our national flag but also raised the flags of our neighbors and brothers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The achievement of each country in our region is the achievement of the entire Central Asia. Sports unite. Strength is in unity! Go Uzbekistan! Go Central Asia!" wrote Asadov.
Komil Allamjonov, head of the Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, also praised the brotherhood of fans from neighboring countries who supported each other during the tournaments in Paris.
"Look at the flags of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan standing side by side. This is what true friendship looks like," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
