Shavkat Mirziyoyev to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on August 7-9 at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

According to the visit program, negotiations between the leaders of the two countries and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council chaired by the Presidents are planned. The issues of further deepening the strategic partnership and alliance relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, as well as urgent aspects of the international and regional agenda, will be discussed at the meeting.
The main focus will be on expanding practical cooperation in priority areas such as trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, energy, agriculture, and water management.
A package of documents aimed at strengthening bilateral relations is expected to be adopted.
It is worth noting that within the framework of the state visit, business and cultural events are being held in the capital of Kazakhstan. The unveiling of a monument to the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi is planned.
On August 9, the President of Uzbekistan will also participate in the next Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the first summit of the "Central Asia + Japan" dialogue, which will be held in Astana.
