Salim Abduvaliyev has been declared internationally wanted by Interpol to face criminal charges in Kyrgyzstan, according to the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Kyrgyzstan.

"During the investigation of materials from the pre-trial proceedings registered for the legalization (laundering) of income obtained through criminal means, facts were established that Salim Abduvaliyev financed the activities of the organized crime group (OCG) led by the so-called 'thief-in-law' Kamchybek Kolbayev, who was part of the international criminal group 'Brotherly Circle'," the statement said.

It was found that Abduvaliyev, having significant influence in CIS countries, established a connection and systematically provided material assistance to "thief-in-law" Kolbayev, and supported his rise as a leader of the criminal world in Kyrgyzstan and other influential crime bosses in Central Asia.

It was emphasized that Kolbayev and Abduvaliyev were in close relations, as evidenced by the information about Kolbayev repeatedly attending celebrations and other events organized by Abduvaliyev in Uzbekistan.

Based on the collected materials, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Bishkek issued an arrest warrant in absentia for Salim Abduvaliyev.

He has also been declared wanted, both internationally and through Interpol, to face criminal charges.

It should be noted that 73-year-old Salim Abduvaliyev, known as "Salimboyvachcha," was detained at his home in Tashkent in early December last year. In March this year, he was found guilty under Article 248 of the Criminal Code (Illegal trafficking of firearms, ammunition, main parts of firearms, and explosive devices) and sentenced to six years in prison.
